FREE2RP was build by and for Roleplayers. SSHWAAMY, the guy who plays the beloved Stanley ‘hobo’ Steamer founded the server with developers Jroc and Chewster. Quickly the Development Team grew to 10+ with amazing talent from around the world and FREE2RP was born. Today FREE2RP is a sanctuary for Roleplayers and content creators that seek a server free of staff overreach and high tier donor influence.
Here, the staff takes a different approach to moderation, using a strike-system and coaching instead of being quick to ban. in the decade+ of GTA RP we all have surely experienced staff overreach or donors curating the roleplay of others. We will not do that here, we are not directors, we are set builders.
Staff of FREE2RP will hold no positions of power in the server. In-city decisions such as Business Licenses and the like will be decided on by a City Council, which is comprised of citizens, NOT staff. We are different and seeking quality roleplayers that just want to be free to rp.
